A little bit about who we are:
Robyn Holmes, the head event planner & owner of Peachy Green, has been passionate about the environment & organizing events her whole life. In doing so she has assembled a team of colleagues, assistants & local vendors to help make your event everything you desire. With her self motivation & drive to be able to do any job in front of her from planning to plumbing, she looks forward to dreaming up new ways to make your event eco-unique & a truly memorable event for everyone.
Her eye to detail has influenced her in planning events since 2004 with her first event, a 400 person fundraiser at the St Norbert Arts Centre, in the eco community where she volunteered full time. Over the past 16 years she has successfully planned and coordinated many events, such as fundraisers, concerts (including Junofest), birthday parties, showers, retirement parties, corporate functions, trade shows, weddings and pretty much every event in between. She also became a wedding commissioner for the Province of Manitoba ten years ago.
Wherever she goes she tries to make any event more eco conscious, exciting & run smoother. From her volunteer crews at the West End Cultural Centre and the Winnipeg Folk Festival to organizing moral boosting theme days while sandbagging during the 2011 flood & in running her home and office. Peachy Green strives to take every step possible to be environmentally friendly, from the items she uses at events, the one of a kind decor rentals available, using recycled paper products, chemical free cleaning, energy saving & implementing the 3 R’s in everyday operations to reduce the business’s eco footprint.
With her newest addition to the long list of rentals & services, Robyn was so pleased to release the very first mobile bar for hire in Manitoba, The Peachy Green Sidecar! While having dreamt about designing, building and running one for over 18 years, the perfect vintage trailer popped up in the fall of 2017. This vintage 1972 California Classic has some stories to tell for sure but after months of freezing cold renovations over the winter of 2017/2018, Robyn & her husband Spencer made this instant hit to release to the public & look forward to many years of towing it around the country!
The Peachy Green team, with 20+ years of event planning experience, offers exceptional customer service & a friendly relationship while being involved in every aspect of the event from conception to clean-up. They also offer a unique list of ideas & designs, such as having an all in one event location to reduce emissions, having wedding outfits made from organic or recycled material, using jewellery made from local & recycled materials & renting decorations/equipment instead of single-use disposable items whenever possible. Even using seed paper for event stationary or using an event website instead of paper all together & many more eco ideas. They can also recommend local, eco conscious businesses where clients can get these items. This saves on emissions from shipping in items like flowers from South America & can support the local economy while not worrying if a company uses non fair trade or unethical practices.
